Albion Maine

I made it to my first official stop of the trip. I'm staying with my friends the McKenzie's in the little town of Abion Maine. Yesterday I Started out from Home and My Dad snapped this shot of me with my truck. I'm in my Parent's driveway and that's my house in the background, on the right.

The only photo-worthy stop I made along the way was the Niagara Falls. I would have spent more time on these shots but I was already a couple days behind and I had a lot of driving ahead of me. It was also cold and windy, and besides, I had to go to the bathroom. It's hard to make good photos when you can't stand still. I'll try to plan better in the future.

There was quite a bit of ice at the base of the falls that you can barely see through the mist.

All the trees around the falls were covered with a thick frost/ice.

Tomorrow the plan is to go to Albion Christian Church with the McKenzies and then spend a couple days in the area, hopefully making some good photos before I move on to New York. I'll post again when I get some more material. Thanks.

Steve

Glad you made it! I have Windy Lake pictures, but no website. We prayed for you in class today.

Great to hear that you're officially off on your adventure and that you arrived safely after travelling thru the snow zone. Has it sunk in yet that your "vacation" doesn't end in a couple weeks? Yipee!!

So this is it! Off like a herd of turtles. Good for you!

I made it back from Costa Rica late last Saturday. Make sure you move this place up on your list of places to see and photograph - perhaps you can swing down thru Costa Rica after you finish with Texas. No?

I have pictures of Toucans and Monkeys to share with you. Look for them in your email soon.

I am very sorry that I did not get to see you before your departure. Maybe it's better this way, as I am not too good with 'Good-byes'.

Please know that you are in my prayers and that you will be missed.

Hey Steve!
St. John was great... our own little adventure. We wish we could have seen you off. Seems wierd that your house is empty.... but we're proud! Enjoy!
More pics please! ....Randy and Deb

Steve.
Great pictures of your trip so far.
Hope you have a wonderful and safe trip.
Great news on my end, my parents are heading home from Mayo this weekend.
When you hit the west coast, I'll be looking for pictures for my living room to hang.
Be safe, give a hug to Michelle, and keep up the blog.
