Counting Down

Today was my last day of work for many months. I feel like I've just jumped out of a perfectly good plane. I hope my parachute works!

I leave early Wednesday morning for Windy Lake Lodge, North of Sault Ste. Marie, Canada, to do some cross country skiing with friends. When I get back from there, the following Monday, I'll be off on my solo adventure. I could even leave directly from The Soo, but at this point I think I'll stop back home first and leave the next day. I still have a lot to do before I go, so I'll have to keep my nose to the grindstone for a few days. It will sure be good to finally be on the road.

Hey Steve,
I was sorry to have to call you earlier today. I hope you aren't too dissapointed about the cancellation of your bon-voyage party. The blizzard warnings are beyond our control and the authorities are requesting everyone to stay off the roads. I still hope that I will be able to see you before you take off for Windy Lake. Keep warm and DON'T Drive.

We brought Steve back from Windy Lake Lodge (2/12/07), so he should be leaving for the adventure this week. At least he's prepared for the cold!
